Blogging the Bible Genesis 1 PART 1 'The 1st Day'

'In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.'
-- Genesis 1:1

This verse is the very base for creationism. There is nothing in the Bible about evolution as far as I know.

'Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the water and God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.'
-- Genesis 1:2-3

So the earth was formless and empty and God used his voice-activated light switch.

This is before the creation of the sun. If the sun wasn't needed for light than why create the sun?

'God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.'
-- Genesis 1:4

Since God is omniscient than why does God need to check if light is good. He would already know. He is also omnipotent so he could create it in less than a nanosecond.

'God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day. '
-- Genesis 1:5

God why did you separate the light(day) and the darkness(night)? Honestly, if I was God I don't think separating the light and darkness would be on mind at all. If I was God I wouldn't created have the world like Yahweh did.
