H. RES. 81 is the best bill ever! If passed it would make Darwin Day an official holiday.

Refuting arguments that could be made against it
What about the part in the constitution about religion? Doesn't it say religion can not influence government, thus it would persecute creationists. Well, what about if someone made a "Galileo Day". Won't it be persecuting the people who, based on religion, believe geocentricism?

In fact it says in the bill it says:

Whereas the teaching of creationism in some public schools compromises the scientific and academic integrity of the United States' education systems;

I know I promised to quickly make a blog post criticizing religion, and I am working on it. It is going to be a big(not literally) anti-religion post. However, in this blog post I am going to make "The Tanner Party". A political party that promotes, among other things, Cascadian Independence.

The 1-letter abbreviation for the Tanner Party(like a Democratic senator in DC would be D-DC or for Greens G-DC or Republicans R-DC etc.) is (drumroll please?) T. The 3-letter abbreviation for the Tanner Party is TAN.

HOW TO JOIN THIS PARTY:
If you want to join this party, you are member. We have no problem with Tanners joining other parties as long they don't contradict a whole lot(Tanners can disagree with some of the Tanner Party's views as long as they agree with a lot of the Tanner Party's views) with the Tanner Party(I am sure there are such parties).

STATEMENTS:
1. We all have heard right now about the terrible conflict in Libya. The Tanner Party fully supports the anti-Gaddafi people, and we[1] hope that Gaddafi is brought to justice! We, honestly, think that Gaddafi and his soldiers(aka troops) will lose. (2/27/2011)

Questions that people might ask or Q&A:
1. If you are a libertarian than why do you have your own party? Answer: Not all libertarians agree with the Libertarian Party, just like not all Conservatives agree with the Conservative Party.

2. Is this party officially registered? No, mainly because of my age(I wish I was a lot older).

3. Can Non-Cascadians be Tanners? Yes, as long they agree with Cascadian independence or it is one the few things the Tanner in question disagrees with the Tanner Party about. It is, practically an international party.

4. You are 11-years old, why did you found a political party knowing that your enemies(people who disagree with me, not enemies like people who hate me) could use it against you? First, I founded a political party because I disagreed with all other parties over one thing or another and I am political active. Second, people who disagree with me use anything they can find against me. So what? Also, I no problem with people who disagree with me, I think it is a good thing.

Cascadia:
Summary
Cascadia, among other areas, should be independent.

1. Cascadia is defined by this party as the area of British Columbia, Washington(State) and Oregon.
2. Hawaii and Alaska should also be independent.
3. An area, that isn't Cascadia, is ruled by the Cascadian government must demand independence!

Defence and Police:
Summary
Cascadia should have a good defence and police.

SUBSECTION I(Defence):
1. IF the defence(military) can defend Cascadia without killing people(war) than it should!
2. The defence can't offend other countries, only defend.
SUBSECTION II(Police):
1. The police shouldn't arrest people for stuff that doesn't harm anyone in any way, shape or form.
2. The death penalty should be used if it's FULLY provable that the person did crime and if it absolutely necessary. If it can be avoided than it should.

LGBT Matters:
Summary
People should have the same rights as everyone else, regardless of Sexual Orientation.

1. If you believe your God that you worship doesn't like homosexuals than you should not be one, but you shouldn't force people to not be gay.
2. Gay marriage should be legal.

Plural Marriage:
1. People can be in a Plural Marriage, the most common form is polygamy.

Religion:
1. You be free to have the freedom to believe anything, but the government shouldn't forcefully make you invoke a belief without your permission.

Capital City of Cascadia:
1. The capital city of Cascadia should be made after Cascadia gets independent, it should be called Cascad.

Sales Tax:
1. People shouldn't be 'sales taxed'.

Nolan Chart and Left-Right spectrum:
Introduction
There has been a debate between whether the Nolan Chart or Left-Right spectrum is true. Due to that debate thought we would share our position on both of those charts.
1. On the Left-Right we are on the left(we are open to change).
2. On the Nolan Chart we are libertarian.

The Tanner Party doesn't have an official view on this matter. However, the founder, Steve T. R., is a capitalist considering socialism. Because of this the Tanner Party may suggest to elect for president, mayor and/or governor(in any country, see Q&A #3) a capitalist, socialist, communist or other.

FOOTNOTES:
Number #1: Okay, there is only one guy in the Tanner Party administration, currently. However, I(or we) refer to the Tanner Party as 'we' because parties usually refer to themselves as 'we' and other people refer to them as 'they'.
Number #2: Some very, very minor parties(like the Jefferson Republican Party, or the 51st State Party) have Wikipedia pages, in fact some parties that where founded this year(2011) that are minor have Wikipedia pages. So why can't we?

Independence for Cascadia!

I as a man of Cascadia(British Columbia, Washington State, Oregon area) demand independence from the America-Canadian government! Thomas Jefferson never intended(or wanted) for the U.S. to expand here, in fact he wanted it to be independent.

Why should we be independent? There are many reasons but I will just list a few! The DC and the Canadian government is NOT near us and doesn't care about our needs and wants. In popular culture people assume that America and Canada is the East. We should demand independence.

I do NOT want a war or blood of any kind to come out of someone because of this(unless the person was donating blood to the needy)! America-Canada, please understand us and give us independence.

Polygamophobia (and why you should not buy into it)

Polygamy is a very well debated subject, but the Western world has the false view that it is a bad thing. That is what I call Polygamophobia. Let us add that to the long list shall we.

You get it? So does this form of discrimination add up? NO!

Polygamophobes often claim that if people can be polygamous than the rich will get all the women and the average Joe will get about 1, if that, wife/wives. I do think that there should be a limit, just not one wife.

Polygamophobes might now be claiming that Polygamy will make things confusing and hard to follow. However, based on that "logic" than we can do HTML code because it is confusing and hard to follow.

I am not just rooting for Polygamy rights for the Polygamists sake, but also for the homosexuals sake. Polygamophobes promote homophobia by saying that gay rights will bring on polygamy rights. That it is good, Polygamophobic homophobes.

Hello, my name is Steve T. R.(that is my informal name, e.g. Carl Sagan's friends would have called him a different name than Carl Sagan. But people who don't know him often call him Carl Sagan). I live in Oregon and I am 11-years old at the time of posting.

I do not like what America has become since it was founded, sure it some improvements, but I think we need more. I do not like the Pro-American propaganda in this country of mine.

I am a libertarian Independent, but I plan to make a political party(that is if I don't give to angry with America that I make Oregon an independent nation). I think the Democrats are the lesser of two evils.

I know some HTML, because of that I have edited some of the code on my blog(the one you are reading). I want to have a website(lets say it will be called OfficialSteveTR.com) and this blog will be at OfficialSteveTR.com/blog or blog.OfficialSteveTR.com. However, I am perfectly fine with just a blog.

If you have read this blog you know that I am an atheist. I think, at least, fundamentalism/evangelicalism should be destroyed. There are really people who believe that evolution is evilution and the Earth is 6000 years old, people who believe ridiculous stuff like fundamentalism/evangelicalism can't be much good.

I am weird. I love sour cream, by itself! I also beat myself every single day. I am weird in so many ways, just ask my parents.

What is my gender, is it Male, Female, Intersex(both Male and Female) or Other? I am a male Caucasian(white-person).

On Objectivism: An Essay

This is an essay criticizes Objectivism(Ayn Rand), this essay is MAINLY for my teacher to read. However, anyone can read this essay.

In 1943 a person by the name of Ayn Rand published a book called The Fountainhead. The Fountainhead(and the Objectivist movement as a whole) says that we shouldn't care about others. It is also a capitalistic movement. Read on to find out why it is doesn't only sound wrong, but is very wrong.

Objectivists not only believe that altruism is unnecessary but immoral. However, it is the other way around. Why should we tell poor people "We don't care about you and it would be IMMORAL to help you"?

Objectivists claim that Objectivism is rational and moral, because the human mind is selfish. However, by that "logic" than Xenophobia is rational and moral. Objectivists, is it Xenophobia rational and moral?

Ayn Rand criticizes religion in his philosophy. I agree that people should criticize religion but I don't agree in the way he does it. He claims that religion is based on altruism, thus it is bad. The majority of religions do promote altruism. However, it is not needed, to be a religion, to promote altruism. And there are lots of religion, so it probable that there is more than one religion that doesn't promote selfishness.

Objectivism by definition is cruel. Merriam-Webster defines cruel as (definition 2a) causing or conducive to injury, grief, or pain.

Why does Objectivism worry me? Because an altruist parent would teach his child altruism because he/she would believe(and would be correct) that altruism is moral. An Objectivist parent would do the same thing.

To sum it all up, Objectivism is morally and factually wrong. No one, if they have enough money, should not give to the poor.

We all know that the anti-Mubark Egyptian protesters all just Muslim Brotherhood members. However, some anti-American Atheists are willing to question that truthiness. Atheists always question truthiness.

The atheists claim that there are Christians in the group, but my gut tells me that those Christians are secret Muslims or they want to be enslaved by Muslims.

Why would Christians want to be enslaved by Muslims? My gut has an answer! It is human nature to want to be enslaved by people you majorly disagree with. How else do you explain religion?

Atheists will ask where we got the information. Of course you what it is.... my gut! You can't question guts and be truthy.

Biblical Literalism VERSUS Conservative Christianity

We all know about the Conservative Bible Project. Right? Well, why did they make it? They made it(The Conservative Bible Project) to make the Bible conform to their own political biases.
Is there liberalism in the Bible? Yes, if you exclude the Old Testament, like most Christians do.

• Jesus, himself, was angry at using the holy temple as way to get money.
• He said the rich can't get into heaven.
• He said to sell your possessions and give them to the poor.
• He said to love your enemies(take that Yahweh!) and neighbours.
• He forgive people for nothing(he gave people forgiveness for stuff they did, I meant that he got nothing out forgiving them).
  
• He cared about the poor and hated the rich.

Noticed how I used a lot of italics.
Conservative Christianity teaches us the opposite of the Gospels. Right-wing(Conservative) and down-wing(Authoritarian) Christians, explain please how the Bible contradicts your political views.

Oregon Citizens Alliance

I'm an Oregonian and an anti-homophobia 'activist'(I'm not really active, per se). Thus, I'm not really happy with the Oregon Citizens Alliance.
They sponsored Measure 8. Measure 8, as Wikipedia describes it, is

The group sponsored Measure 8, an initiative measure that repealed Governor Neil Goldschmidt's executive order banning discrimination based on sexual orientation in the executive branch of state government.

It gets worse!

In the same Wikipedia article they also say that they supported 'Measure 9'.

It seems like they want them to be treated like super-super-super 2nd class-citizens. Any group that supports making a group of people as 2nd class-citizens shouldn't get support, or be based in my state.

It doesn't make me happy to think that there are homophobic Oregonians. A message from one Oregonian to others(aka EVERY homophobic Oregonian). Homosexuals are people too, you don't have to like them. But you must get them the same rights as other people. What if straights were persecuted?

I bet a Moderate Christian is going to comment on one of my episodes and say 'No one takes Genesis literally'. However, this only aimed at fundamentalists.

Blogging the Bible Genesis 1 PART 6 'The 6th Day'

It's been a while since I wrote a 'Blogging the Bible'. So I'm going to start now.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.

I bet that Evolutionist Biblical-literalists will love this verse. However, it's just an interpretation.

What! This doesn't make sense. Why make humans the master species? Why make a master species in the first place? Why make more than one species in the first place? How can man and woman BOTH be from God's image? They look similar in some respects, different in others.

God must work in mysterious ways.

Mormons are must like other Conservative Christians. Ignoring their own Bible, while claiming to believe in it.

The official LDS church now has 2 official policies

• African-Americans should have the same rights are everyone else(which is good).
• Polygamy is bad(Polygamophobia, as I call it, is just as bad as homophobia).

Mormons, I have news for you. This contradicts either the Bible or the BoM.

And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity.
